Obesity has been a progressively increasing phenomenon in recent decades across all age groups and both sexes, including women of repro­ductive age.
Obesity impacts both fertility and pregnancy outcomes, and is associated with both short- and long-term maternal and fetal complications. This study aims to analyze the metabolic alterations associated with maternal obesity, such as gestational diabetes, hypertensive disorders, and lipid profile, and their impact on maternal and fetal complications.
