However, some patients do not achieve the expected benefits, such as the remission of T2DM or experience a relapse of the disease sometime after the intervention. This article aims to explore the topic of diabetes after bariatric surgery by analyzing the possible causes of the lack of remission, the clinical characteristics of these patients, and the most effective therapeutic strategies for managing this condition.
