Same technology, different results: Comparing two pregnancies in women with type 1 diabetes

Pregnancy in women with type 1 diabetes (T1D) carries an increased risk of maternal and fetal complications related to peri-conceptional and gestational hyperglycemia. Therefore, it is important to plan the pregnancy and manage glycemic control effectively to minimize the risks associated with the presence of DM1. The use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and, more recently, Hybrid Closed-Loop (HCL) systems represent significant advancement in the management of T1D.
